All 13 skills with rankable tasks open something at level 1. Item Creation is absent because the game publishes no XP on its tasks, leaving no rate to show. Gold is the gross market value of everything the task produces in an hour at current sell offers — the API publishes no recipe inputs, so a craft's ingredient cost is not subtracted. Tasks that reward no item show XP only, which is what they pay.

What to do in the first session

Queue something before you close the tab. Idle Clans keeps working while you are away, so the first decision that matters is what is running, not what is optimal. Potion Of Swiftness (Brewing) is the fastest level-1 task in the data at 49,091 XP/hr on a 55 second action.

For gold, Cooked Piranha (Cooking) produces the most valuable output of any starting task — Cooked Piranha at roughly 331,200 gold/hr if you list everything it makes. Prices move; the market table is the current number.

Gathering before crafting is the usual order, and it is not sentiment. The production skills at the top of the XP ranking consume what the gathering skills produce, so early ore, logs and fish are never wasted effort — they are the input you would otherwise buy.

When to move on

The next-unlock column is the honest version of "how long until this gets better". The earliest step is level 10, which 7 skills reach (Carpentry, Cooking, Crafting, Farming, Fishing, Foraging, Woodcutting); the longest wait among the level-1 skills is level 30. Rotating to a skill the moment its next rung opens keeps you near each skill's best available rate, and every calculator page lists that skill's full ladder with the level each rung needs.

One thing the site cannot tell you: the game does not publish its experience curve anywhere in the public API, so no page here converts XP into "hours to level 20". What it can tell you is the rate per hour and the cap, which is what the time-to-max guide works from.

Frequently asked questions

What is the fastest thing to train at level 1 in Idle Clans?

Potion Of Swiftness in Brewing: 49,091 XP/hr on a 55 second action with no level requirement. All 13 skills whose tasks can be ranked have something you can start at level 1. Item Creation is not listed: the game publishes no XP on its tasks, so there is no rate to rank.

How do you make your first gold in Idle Clans?

Sell what a starting task produces. The best-paying level-1 task is Cooked Piranha (Cooking), whose output is worth about 331,200 gold/hr at current sell offers if you list everything it makes. That is gross output value, not profit.

How soon do better tasks unlock?

The earliest step of any skill is level 10, reached by 7 of them (Carpentry, Cooking, Crafting, Farming, Fishing, Foraging and Woodcutting). The longest wait among the level-1 skills is level 30. Every skill's full ladder, with the XP and gold each rung pays, is on its calculator page.
