Idle Clans FAQ
13 questions new players keep asking, answered in a few lines each. For a first-session plan built from the game's task table, read the beginner's guide; the answers below link to the page that goes deeper.
Starting out
I just started Idle Clans. What should I do first?
Train skills that feed each other, such as Mining with Smithing or Foraging with Crafting, so one skill's output becomes the other's input. Keep a gathering skill running whenever you go offline, because gathering needs no resources and cannot run dry. [1, 2]

How long does offline progress last?
Up to 12 hours on a selected skill, as long as it has the resources it needs. The Upgrade dealership in the Local market can add up to 6 more hours, and the Premium token adds another 6, for a maximum of 24. [1]
Which game mode should I pick?
Normal, unless you specifically want a challenge. The mode is chosen at registration and cannot be changed. Normal has no trade restrictions. Ironman plays solo, and Group Ironman plays in a small clan of other Group Ironman accounts. [1, 3]
How many accounts am I allowed to have?
Up to 3 normal accounts. Going over that can get accounts banned, and having other accounts feed items to one main counts too. Ironman accounts have no limit, and Group Ironman allows several accounts but only one per clan. [2]
Premium, gold and the market
Is Idle Clans pay to win? What does Premium do?
Premium is a one-time token. It unlocks leveling Enchanting, Farming and Agility past 30, adds 6 hours of offline progress and doubles your market offer slots from 3 to 6. It can be bought with real money in the shop or with gold on the player market, so everything in the game is reachable without paying. [1, 4]
Are tokens permanent?
Yes. Tokens apply their bonus permanently, whether you bought them in the shop or on the player market. [2]
How does the player market work?
Each offer slot holds one buy or one sell offer. Sell offers worth 100 gold or more pay a 1% tax when they complete; buy offers are untaxed. The market matches you with the best opposing offer, and gold and items wait in the offer until you press Collect. [4]
Should I sell items to the vendor or on the market?
Check the market first. The wiki's own example: 100 coal ore vendors for 1,100 gold, but at a market price of 130 each it brings in about 12,870 after the 1% tax. Vendoring is usually the worse deal. [1]
What should I save up for first?
A common first goal is 100,000 gold for the Cardboard box, the first housing upgrade, which gives +5% XP on all non-combat skills. The offline progress and inventory upgrades in the same dealership are the other early buys. [1]
Clans, combat and bosses
How do I join or create a clan?
Look in the in-game Recruitment center, the Clan recruiting chat channel or the official Discord. Creating your own costs a one-time 10,000 gold and holds up to 20 players. New members wait 48 hours before their actions add clan XP. [1, 3]
How does combat XP work?
You earn 5 XP per point of damage: 4 to the skills your attack style trains and 1 to Health. Turn on auto eating (around 80%) and auto looting before long fights; without auto looting, unclaimed drops are lost if you die. [1]
What levels do I need to fight bosses?
The wiki recommends Melee, Archery or Magic and Defence around 110+ to solo, 100+ in a duo and 90+ in a trio. Bring high-healing food, the right potions and the attack style the boss is weak to. [2]
How is loot shared in group fights?
In group combat (up to 3 players) your drop chance equals your share of the damage. For Sobek, Kronos and Mesines the loot goes to the lobby host. Clan bosses (up to 20 players) give loot at random to players who are alive when the boss dies. [2]
