Idle Clans Pets: How They Work and How to Get One
The official Idle Clans game data lists 44 items for the pet slot: 14 skilling pets, 8 tiers of melee, archery and magic combat pets, and 6 others. This page shows what the data says about each one (the official tooltip, its combat bonuses, where the data shows it coming from) and the game's own pet settings. 401 of 487 tracked top players had a pet equipped when their profile was last read.
What this page can and cannot tell you
Every number comes from the game data. Quests carry a pet chance, but no quest names the pet it can award, so this page does not pair quests with pets. Pets are untradeable, so there are no market prices. Strategy (which pet to train first, how long a pet takes) is not in the data and is not guessed here.
How pets work in Idle Clans
The official pet tooltips: "This little guy has a special knack for finding chests whilst training!" / "This little guy can do tasks for you and you'll receive what they collect!" / "Trains the Enchanting skill for itself and for you - without needing any scrolls!". Which pet carries which tooltip is in the skilling pets table below.
| Game setting | Value | What the name says |
|---|---|---|
CombatPetExperienceSharePercentage | 20% | The experience share for combat pets. The data does not say who receives the share or from what. |
PetTaskLengthModifier | 4 | A modifier on how long a pet's task takes. The data does not say how it is applied (for example, as a multiplier on the player's task time). |
PlayerShareOfPetTaskWithCostsPercentage | 100% | Your share of what a pet's task produces when that task does have item costs. |
PlayerShareOfPetTaskWithoutCostsPercentage | 100% | Your share of what a pet's task produces when that task has no item costs. |
A few tasks set their own pet time and pet experience in the data. They are all Enchanting tasks:
| Task | Level | Pet time | Pet XP | Player XP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common Enchantment | 1 | 30s | 30 | 5,000 |
| Rare Enchantment | 40 | 30s | 90 | 15,000 |
| Exceptional Enchantment | 80 | 30s | 180 | 75,000 |
How to get pets
Quests are where the game data puts pet chances. Each row below is one quest skill: how many of its quests carry a pet chance and the range. The data does not say which pet a quest's chance awards. See every quest and its chance on the quests page.

"Quest pet chance" is the range on that skill's own quests; the data does not confirm that those quests award this pet.
Combat pets by tier
Melee, archery and magic pets come in 8 tiers. Official tooltips: "Will aid you in Melee combat to help you deal a little more damage." "Will aid you in Archery to help you deal a little more damage." "Will aid you in Magic to help you deal a little more damage." Bonuses are accuracy / strength in the pet's own style.

Occult Pet Collar and How to Train Your Demon Pet
Two Invocation items mention pets in their names. Neither has tooltip text in the data, and neither is tradeable.
| Item | Drops from | Used for | Base value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nothing in the data uses it | 100 | ||
| Item cost (1) of a 1-tier upgrade listed only as type 63, with no name or effect in the data | 3,000 |
The data does not say how a one-row loot table's weight turns into a per-kill chance, so no drop rate is given. It also does not link the upgrade to the Pet Invocation or any other pet.

Frequently asked questions
How do you get pets in Idle Clans?
Quests are the source the game data shows most: every quest in 15 quest skills carries a pet chance, 0.1% to 5% outside Combat, and 0.4% to 15% on Combat quests. The data does not say which pet a quest's chance awards. Gilded pets are sold in the local market: Gilded Pet 1 for 1,000, Gilded Pet 2 for 250,000,000. Pet Bloodmoon is in the Bloodmoon Massacre reward table. No skilling or combat-tier pet appears in any loot, shop or reward table.
How do pets work in Idle Clans?
The official pet tooltips say: "This little guy can do tasks for you and you'll receive what they collect!" / "This little guy has a special knack for finding chests whilst training!" / "Trains the Enchanting skill for itself and for you - without needing any scrolls!". The game's pet settings: CombatPetExperienceSharePercentage = 20, PetTaskLengthModifier = 4, PlayerShareOfPetTaskWithCostsPercentage = 100, PlayerShareOfPetTaskWithoutCostsPercentage = 100. The data gives these as numbers only; the settings table on this page reads what each key name says and no more.
What is the best pet in Idle Clans?
By combat bonuses, the tier 8 combat pets are the strongest of their kind: Pet Melee Tier 8 (+25 melee accuracy, +16 melee strength), Pet Archer Tier 8 (+25 archery accuracy, +16 archery strength), Pet Magic Tier 8 (+25 magic accuracy, +16 magic strength). The highest defence bonuses belong to the Pet Bloodmoon (+30 melee, +30 archery, +30 magic defence). Among tracked top players the most equipped pet is the Pet Melee Tier 7 (118 profiles). The 14 skilling pets all carry the same combat bonuses (+6 melee, +6 archery and +6 magic defence) and no skill boost in the data.
What is the Occult Pet Collar in Idle Clans?
The data has no tooltip for it. It drops from High Shaman (Invocation), where it is the only item in the loot table (weight 100). No upgrade, recipe or task in the game data uses it, so this page cannot say what it does.
How do you get How to Train Your Demon Pet in Idle Clans?
It drops from Hand of the King (Invocation), the only item in that loot table (weight 2.5; the Occult Pet Collar's single row has weight 100). One copy is the item cost of a 1-tier upgrade the data lists as type 63, with no name or effect text. The data does not link that upgrade to a specific pet.
