Forge cost vs market price
The forge cost below prices every input at today's market average. A positive margin means the finished helmet sells for more than its inputs cost; a negative one means buying it outright is cheaper than forging it from bought materials. Daily sales tell you whether anyone is actually buying.
| Helmet | Forge level | Materials | Forge cost | Market price | Margin | Sold/day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tin Helmet | 1 | 10 Tin Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 100 | 23 | -77 | 9 |
| Copper Helmet | 5 | 10 Copper Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 180 | 366 | +186 | 3 |
| Iron Helmet | 10 | 10 Iron Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 340 | 48 | -292 | 5 |
| Lead Helmet | 15 | 10 Lead Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 250 | 129 | -121 | 6 |
| Steel Helmet | 25 | 10 Steel Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 290 | 60 | -230 | 5 |
| Mercury Helmet | 35 | 10 Mercury Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 330 | 83 | -247 | 139 |
| Chromite Helmet | 50 | 10 Chromite Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 390 | 80 | -310 | 22 |
| Uranium Helmet | 65 | 10 Uranium Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 460 | 150 | -310 | 2 |
| Mystic Helmet | 70 | 10 Mystic Bar, 5 Coal Ore | 710 | 800 | +90 | 2 |
7 of 9 helmets cost less on the market than their materials do. If you only want to wear the piece, buy it. Forging them still makes sense for Forge XP, or when the bars or logs came out of your own gathering.
The ones with a positive margin can be forged for profit, but check the sold-per-day column first. A helmet that sells a handful a day will not take a stack of fifty at the listed price. The money-making rankings flag those thin markets for every skill.
Upgrading
Each helmet upgrades with Helmet Upgrade Stones. Stones per upgrade, by quality: Standard 1, Refined 1, Premium 2, Epic 3. The Max tier column is the upgrade cap for each piece. The official wiki notes that upgrades take longer as the tier rises.
