IdleMMO vs WalkScape
Both are RuneScape-descended skill games. Only one of them progresses while you sit still, and only one of them is out.
Side by side
| Topic | IdleMMO Tools live | WalkScape No tools yet |
|---|---|---|
| How you level | Per-skill caps rather than one shared ceiling: Combat stops at 100, Dungeoneering at 95, most gathering skills at 90, Construction at 75, Forge at 70 and Alchemy at 50.1 | Skills train on real-world steps: each step feeds an action, and finishing the action pays the XP.3 |
| Skills and caps | The public skill index lists 10 skills. This site runs 11 calculators — the extra one, Bartering, is built from market prices instead of a skill row.1 | 12 skills. Each levels to 99, after which experience keeps accruing but the level stops moving.3 |
| Combat | One Combat skill, capped at 100, against 47 enemies, 18 dungeons and 11 world bosses that open on timed battle windows.1 | Not verified — left blank rather than estimated. |
| Economy and market | The market publishes a daily average price per item, so you can cost a skill but not read a spread. Pets are the exception: the companion exchange lists 15 companions for gold at a stated level.1 | The official site lists a global marketplace among the features. How it trades is not something we have verified.4 |
| Clans and guilds | Guilds, visible through public character profiles. We group them into browse pages but keep those out of search, so there is nothing to link here.1 | Not verified — left blank rather than estimated. |
| Where you play | Plays in a browser at web.idle-mmo.com, with iOS and Android apps.2 | Not verified — left blank rather than estimated. |
| Tools on this site | None built. Nothing here covers WalkScape, so there is nothing to link. |
The read
IdleMMO advances on its own: you pick an action and it keeps going, in a browser tab or on the phone apps. WalkScape advances on steps — each step feeds an action, and the action pays XP when it completes. If you want a game that rewards a commute on foot, that is the one; if you want a game that rewards a closed laptop, it is the other.
The ladders are a similar height and a different shape. WalkScape lists 12 skills to level 99. IdleMMO's public index lists 10 skills with caps set individually: Combat 100, Dungeoneering 95, most gathering skills 90, Alchemy 50. IdleMMO also publishes the combat furniture — 47 enemies, 18 dungeons, 11 timed world bosses — where WalkScape's combat is not something we have verified.
Availability decides most of it today. WalkScape is closed beta with open beta no earlier than Q4 2026; IdleMMO is live and fully covered here, with 11 calculators, boss timers and the item and enemy databases. We have built nothing for WalkScape and will not link tools that do not exist.
